Paul substituted "Christ" for LORD showing you that Jesus Christ is the LORD God of the Old Testament. The Day of the Lord shall not come UNTIL the falling away (apostasy) comes first and the Man of Sin is revealed as the Son of Perdition- HALFWAY THROUGH THE 7 Year Tribulation. IF you consider the CONTEXT of 2 Thessalonians 2 you would realize Paul is speaking of the Day of the Lord, NOT the Rapture. The Catholics are correct in stating that their "church" is the "Oldest" and the most Orthodox. Catholicism is the accumulation of heresies believed in Paul's day and has endured for 2000 years.

God tells us in Genesis that there are TWO DIFFERENT literal seeds upon the earth. One seed comes from him, "GOD" through Adam and Eve. The other seeds come from Lucifer and the other Angels. The Rapture/Parousia is already mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 2:1. Thus, if you interrupt apostasia as the Rapture, you’re saying that the Rapture doesn’t happen until the Rapture takes place. Nonsensical.

I am confident that many traditional Christian interpretations and teachings of eschatological things will be found to be incorrect. Interpretations made years ago on the information and evidence available at the time, accepted, adopted and taught for generations, have now embedded themselves into our paradigm and we are blind to them.
